Grant Writing Coordinator, Caring Hearts Cat Rescue

Lillian Napierala

Lillian’s love of animals began at an early age. As early as age 12, after school, Lillian would often hop on the Main Line bus and go to the then, former Humane Society located in a small building at the foot of the bridge on Main Street. Her visits would consist of socializing with the animals.

Her work travels brought her to regions of Southern Ontario where she would volunteer her time at places such as the Niagara Falls Cat Adoption Center or the Sarnia District Humane Society.

In 2017, when the Ontario Power Generating station, located in Nanticoke, Ontario, decided to disassemble their abandoned coal plant, Lillian was instrumental in working with Purrfect Companions of Norfolk (PCON) to rescue the abandoned, homeless, “dumped”, stray/feral cats and kittens near the dock prior to OPG dynamiting the facility.

Lillian has been an active fundraiser, volunteer and Foster Cat Mom with Caring Hearts Cat Rescue & Sanctuary since 2017 when she met the founder, Michelle Gagnon on the set of “Let’s Bark About It”!
