Mission and Vision Statement
Caring Hearts Cat Rescue & Sanctuary is a registered non-profit charitable organization established in 2015, dedicated to the rescuing of cats and kittens that would otherwise be euthanized or remain abandoned and homeless.
We promote the wellness of animals in the city of Thunder Bay and surrounding area and strive to educate the public on the need to spay/neuter as well as promote responsible pet ownership.
We are a no-kill shelter and focus on rescuing surrendered, abandoned, neglected and homeless cats. We also assist in animal overflow from Thunder Bay Animal Services.
Our mission is to provide all rescues with the necessary veterinary care including spay/neuter, FeLV (feline leukemia), FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) testing, vaccinations & rabies shots, de-worming, flea & ear mite care, all in preparation for adoption and permanent re-homing.
Vision Statement: We spay/neuter all of our rescued cats as our vision is to reduce the number of abandoned, stray, homeless and neglected cats and prevent the overpopulation of unwanted litters of kittens. Once fully vetted, the rescued cats/kittens are ready for adoption and provided with a temporary safe and loving environment within one of our two sanctuaries or foster homes throughout the city
